Effective January 1, 2025, all staff and volunteers currently operating in programs have until the end of the year (December 15, 2025) to apply for certification or apply to renew their certification (as appropriate) if they have not done so between January 2023 and December 2024. Failure to do so will result in personnel no longer having Victim Counselor privilege and will need to recertify by restarting the Victim Counselor certification process. This applies to all staff and volunteers who: 1. Are actively working or volunteering in sexual violence programs as of December 31, 2024, and 2. Obtained or wish to obtain their certification through IowaCASA.
