Some men who access services from rape crisis centers may experience multiple forms of crisis, including housing insecurity. This workshop focuses on the key considerations needed to increase access to emergency housing for male survivors of sexual violence, including:
Policies, practices, and resources for supporting shelter advocates will be shared.
Identify effective practices that support male survivors in emergency housing.
Discuss potential obstacles and solutions specific to working with male survivors in emergency housing.
Develop ideas for enhancing emergency housing services that can be implemented at local rape crisis centers.
