Child Therapist (Muscatine and Davenport) Family Resources

Family Resources is looking for a well-organized, dedicated professional with a fresh trauma informed approach for our Licensed Therapist position. The therapist provides services to assist clients in managing emotional health care problems by identifying and addressing individual needs. The therapist provides counseling and therapy services to clients that halt, control, or reverse undue stress and social, emotional, or behavioral problems that threaten or have negatively affected the individual’s or family’s stability. Activities can include individual, family, or group therapy, crisis intervention, training and marketing services
Position can be full-time or part-time.
Position hours will vary, some evenings expected.
Position will include see clients in our Davenport and Muscatine offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assess and provide appropriate treatment interventions to clients
Provide accurate and punctual documentation of services provided
Develop and maintain client service plans
Participate in supervisory and team meetings as deemed necessary\
Develop and maintain connections with referral sources and community members
Participate in program marketing opportunities
Participate in agency committees, task forces, work groups, etc.
Maintain continued education in field
Provide psycho-educational and training services
Participate in treatment meetings including staffings and Family Team Decision Making Meetings (FTDMs).
Participate in court proceedings as necessary
Provide crisis counseling as part of a 24 hour on-call rotation
Provide critical incident stress debriefings.
Adhere to the agencies vision, mission and values
Qualifications
Iowa License required: LMHC or LISW preferred. LMSW or Temporary LMHC staff must engage in clinical supervision and apply for full licensure and pass the exam within 6 months of completing their clinical supervision.
Experience: Experience with play therapy is preferred.
Must have current proof of car insurance, able to pass driving background check and have reliable transportation.
